Evaluation team
We are a multidisciplinary team of doctors and psychologists who work in close cooperation, in accordance with national and international recommendations*, in order to receive families who, have a family member with a suspected neurodevelopmental disorder, to guide them and asses them if necessary to carry out evaluations for early detection, assessments for children, adolescents and adults.
Regarding early detection, pediatricians carry out the process of identifying red flags during the well-child care visits.
The pediatricians and psychologists in our network are trained in clinical and semi-standardized diagnosis (ADOS-2, ADI-R and developmental batteries), so they also assess cognitive, language and motor skills.
Finally, the assessment team refers families of children and adults diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental condition to an intervention team. This group is made up of specialists in early intervention, specialized educators for elementary and middle school education and for the accompaniment and the transitioning to adulthood.
If necessary, both the evaluation team and the intervention team are responsible for referring other specialists according to the requirements of the case.
